I am not a big believer of meeting people over social media but all that changed the day I decided to finally reuse my Facebook account. When I signed in and saw pictures of people I could know but the picture that caught my attention was Armand’s so I clicked on his picture to know more about him. I was speechless! He had the purest and most beautiful smile I had ever seen in my life and I had this strong feeling that I will be marrying him one day. I friend requested him. We met shortly after and the more time we spent together, the more I knew he was the one! We continued seeing each other flying back and forth every week, Miami – Montreal, and finally 6 months later, during an intimate moment, he grabbed my face with his soft hands, looked me in the eyes and said I want to wear a ring, something far from a typical proposal. I was not sure if I understood him correctly but he kept repeating that he wanted to wear a ring for the rest of his life!
At that time I lived in Montreal and my husband in Miami and during one of my visits, he took me to the beautiful Grove Isle at Coconut Grove. I fell in love with the location so we decided to get married at the waterfront Palmeras Beach club. My husband buys me flowers every week and makes my bouquet arrangements himself. Knowing our love and passion for details, we decided to plan and organize our entire wedding ceremony ourselves. We made every single centre piece, big bouquets, arrangements, hundreds of candles, dining table setup, and even the blue orchids decor on our wedding cake ourselves. The night before our wedding, we checked into our hotel where the ceremony was being held the next day. We had over a thousand flowers delivered and we decided to spend our bachelor party together, making our bouquets and arranging every single decorative item. The ceremony exceeded our expectations and many of the guest complimented us by saying that it was the most beautiful and touching wedding ceremony that they had seen in their lives. It was such a success that I am actually planning and organizing wedding events now. We had our bride and groom song performed by my father and everyone had tears in their eyes. Our wedding was beautiful and intimate with very close friends and family. I was having so much fun dancing that I couldn’t feel my feet anymore so i asked my husband if he wanted to go to the room with me so that I can change my shoes and that was the third pair of shoes that I was changing into. My husband told me he wished he would have also brought another pair of black shoes to change into cause his Louboutins were getting uncomfortable. I told him “Oh honey, just wear your brown pair. Its so dark that no one will ever notice, I promise”. He looked at me with his doubtful face and changed into his brown pair of shoes. When we got back, we decided to do a last dance and guess what? They turned on the lights and all you could see were his brown shoes lol!
Weddings are about fairy tails and this little Prince and princess got to live theirs in the most magical way. We decided to go to the beautiful Islands of Greece, Santorini, and enjoyed our Lune de Miel and are now living in Miami happily ever after…
